REGISTRATION AND FEE

  The closing date for registration is 21th April. The tradition of the Centre is that admission be decided by a committee consisting of the Director of the Centre, the Director of the School and the Directors of the Course.

  The total fee, which includes full board and lodging (arranged by the School) 600 USD for participants and for accompanying persons. Thanks to the generosity of the sponsoring Institutions, support can be granted to some deserving students who need financial help. Requests to this effect must be specified and justified in the letter of application.

PROCEEDINGS

  The proceedings of the conference will be published in a special volume of Topology and its Applications.

ARRIVAL

  The transport from Palermo Airport (from the railway station or from the harbour) to Erice is assured by the Centre. Erice is about 90 km (one and a half hours' drive) from Palermo Airport "Punta Raisi".

  As a rule, we expect the participants to arrive at the Centre June 27th not later than 5 p.m. Neither board nor lodging is assured on June 26th ! Because the period of this conference slightly overlaps with that of the XIII Summer Conference on Topology and its Applications in Mexico City (that will take place from June 24th to 27th), we presume that those who take part in both the conferences would arrive a little late. The conference program will take this fact into account. They should communicate to us the arrival time well in advance in order to benefit by the Centre transport. CHARACTER OF THE CONFERENCE

  The meetings in the Centre are called courses and their main purpose is to provide advanced lectures to junior researchers. However shorter meetings, like ours, although including series of lectures, ressemble more usual conferences, with invited talks, and short communications (of 15 minutes).

MORE INFORMATION

  A poster of the course will be widely distributed by the Centre. Due to the firm deadlines for the galley proofs, and to the fixed character of its general information it was not possible to update the poster. The poster is also available on the web at the Majorana Centre.
